A reception for basic and vocational training for 600 children and young people from Port-au-Prince

Created in 1995 by Father Joseph Simon, Salesian, Haitian, Timkatec is a centre for very vulnerable children and young people in Pétionville. The centre offers them a meal, health care, basic training (primary) and vocational training (sewing, cooking, plumbing, electricity). 40 children between 11 and 17 years old, who have no family, are housed there. A dormitory allows street youth to sleep in safety and have a few hours of dignity.

Jacmel

Getting citizens engaged is at the heart of our projects. State authorities, civil society associations, school principals and teachers, parents, young people and children... The projects in Jacmel encourage the civic engagement of all to contribute to a more just, inclusive, respectful and responsible society with children at the centre of actions. And this year, in 2019, an artistic training project for street children and minors in trouble with the law will start in March.
